Please call 519-984-6393 or click here to contact me for booking.
I offer in person, virtual and walk-and-talk sessions.
For in-person sessions please plan to arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment time and come prepared with a cheque, cash, or make an email transfer before our appointment.
For virtual sessions please send e-transfer payment prior to our appointment time.
For walk-and-talk sessions, the location will be mutually determined, payment must be made by etransfer and an additional consent form must be completed.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made via text, email or phone with at least 48 hours notice for Tuesday-Friday appointments and by 10am Friday for all Monday appointments to avoid paying the cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is the full session amount.
I understand that things come up and you may need to cancel a scheduled appointment from time to time, without notice I am unable to offer this session to another person. When booking a session with me you are paying for my time, space, training and experience and in return I am agreeing to be available to you for that scheduled time.
Cancellation fees will be waived in certain circumstances, ie. medically necessary, a sudden death of a loved one or a natural disaster.
I will make every effort to not cancel or reschedule appointments unless absolutely necessary. In this case I will give as much notice as possible and will reschedule without penalty to you.
Fees
One hour session: $160
This is the session time that will usually be scheduled, the full hour gives us ample time to connect on various topics that may come up as well as practice somatic supports during our time.
Ninety minute session: $240
There are circumstances when we may feel more time is needed to process past traumas, discuss deeper topics or allow more time for practicing supports and this longer session may be scheduled.
Other session lengths may be mutually agreed upon as needed and fees will be discussed at that time.
Counselling sessions are covered under many extended benefit plans, reach out to your provider as they all differ. Social work services can be claimed under medical expenses for income tax purposes. I do not direct bill benefit providers so you would pay me, I will provide a receipt and then you can submit that for reimbursement.
The following programs can offset or cover the fee, these are all programs that you would have to research and apply for based on your eligibility:
OSAP provides a bursary which can cover counselling fees for those receiving OSAP and who have a mental health diagnosis from a doctor or psychiatrist. Click here for more information.
Criminal Injuries Compensation Board provides financial compensation (ie. counselling fees) for those who qualify-victims, and family members of deceased victims of violent crimes committed in Ontario. http://www.cicb.gov.on.ca/en/index.htm
Victim Quick Response Program provides financial support for victims of crimes that have occurred in Ontario http://www.attorneygeneral.jus.gov.on.ca/english/ovss/vqrp_program_info_booklet.pdf
First Nations Inuit Health Branch provides funding for 15-20 crisis counselling sessions for eligible First Nations people and Inuit.
